Our infant program accepts infants age 6 weeks-12months.  We limit the Incredible infant program to 12 children and the teacher/student ratio is 1:4.
 
The Infants use two rooms within the facility.  Room 5 as primary drop off and pick up and room 8 for added space.  Infants meet many developmental milestones through their first year and the extra space is truly a blessing!
 
Milestones that we focus on during the first 3 months:
  • Follow moving objects with eyes
  • Turn head toward bright colors and lights
  • Move eyes together in same direction
  • Recognize breast or bottle
  • Respond to loud sounds
  • Make fists with both hands
  • Grasp rattles
  • Wiggle and kick with arms and legs
  • Lift head and chest while on stomach
  • Smile
  • Make cooing sounds
  • Watch faces closely
 
Milestones by 6 months:
  • Turn toward source of normal sound
  • Reach for objects and pick them up
  • Try to touch or smile at a self in mirror
  • Roll from stomach to back
  • Transfer objects from one hand to another
  • Play with toes
  • Help hold bottle during feeding
  • Recognize familiar faces
  • Babble chains of sounds
  • Enjoy social play
  • Respond to own name
 
Milestones by 12 months:
  • Get into a sitting position
  • Pull to a standing position
  • Crawl on hands and knees
  • Drink from a cup
  • Enjoy peek-a-boo and patty cake
  • Turn head, look or smile when spoken to
  • Show interest in other children
  • Hold out arms and legs while be dressed
  • Put object into container
  • Have a 5 to 6 word vocabulary
  • Imitate people and gestures like bye, bye
  • Respond to “no”
 
​To be enrolled in our Ones program your child must be 1 year old by September 1st of the current school year.  We limit the Wonderful Ones program to 12 children and the teacher/student ratio is 1:6.
 
The Wonderful Ones classroom is in Room 4.  At 1 year old, we spend lots of time learning about our environment through play and song.
 
Milestones that we focus on from 12-18 months:
  • Drink from a cup
  • Enjoy peek-a-boo and patty cake
  • Turn head, look or smile when spoken to
  • Show interest in other children
  • Hold out arms and legs while be dressed
  • Put object into container
  • Have a 5 to 6 word vocabulary
  • Imitate people and gestures like bye, bye
  • Respond to “no”
  • Like to push, pull or dump things
  • Follow simple directions like “bring the ball”
  • Pull off shoes, socks, and mittens
  • Like to look at pictures
  • Point with index finger to show or ask for something
  • Feed self
  • Make marks on paper with crayons
  • Use 8-10 words that are understood
  • Seem to understand what others say
  • Walk without help
  • Begin to make-believe play
 
Milestones from 18-24 months:
  • Use 2-3 word sentences
  • Recognize familiar pictures
  • Carry an object while walking
  • Feed self with spoon
  • Play alone and independently
  • Pretend to feed doll or talk on phone
  • Turn 2 or 3 pages at a time
  • Look at things others point to
  • Identify hair, eyes, ears, and nose by pointing
  • Build a tower of blocks
  • Show affection (give hugs or kisses)
  • Become aware of self from others
  • Become excited about company of other children
To be enrolled in our Twos program your child must be 2 years old by September 1st of the current school year.  We limit the Totally Twos program to 16 children and the teacher/student ratio is 1:8.
 
The Totally Twos use two rooms within the facility.  Room 2 as primary drop off and pick up and room 1 for added space.
 
Milestones that we focus on at 2 years old:
  • Walk up steps alternating feet
  • Put on shoes
  • Open door by twisting knob
  • Turn one page at a time
  • Play with other children for a few minutes
  • Seek adult attention for activities or “Tricks”
  • Repeat common rhymes
  • Use 3-5 word sentences
  • Name at least one color correctly
  • Use the toilet
  • Express affection openly
  • Express a wide range of emotions
  • Take turns in games
 
To be enrolled in our Threes program your child must be 3 years old by September 1st of the current school year.  We limit the Terrific Threes program to 18 children and the teacher/student ratio is 1:10.
 
The Terrific Threes classroom is in room 6 and boasts three separate areas for learning.
 
Milestones that we focus on at 3 years old:
  • Enjoy doing new things
  • Role play
  • Would rather play with other children than alone
  • Cooperates with other children
  • Uses “he”  and “she” correctly
  • Sings songs and says poems from memory
  • Tells stories
  • Can say first and last name
  • Names some colors and numbers
  • Understands idea of counting
  • Understands idea of “same” and “different”
  • Draws a person with 2 to 4 body parts
  • Uses scissors
  • Start to copy some capital letters
  • Plays board or card games
  • Uses toilet on his own
  • Tells you what he thinks is going to happen next in book
  • Hops or stands on one foot
  • Catches a bounced ball most of the time
 
To be enrolled in our Fours program your child must be 4 years old by September 1st of the current school year.  We limit the  program to 20 children and the teacher/student ratio is 1:10.
 
The Fantastic Fours classroom is in room 7.  Our academic focus in the Fours is Kindergarten preparedness.
 
Milestones that we focus on at 4 years old:
·        Wants to please friends and be like friends
·        More likely to agree with rules
·        Likes to sing, dance, and act
·        Is aware of gender
·        Can tell what’s real and what’s make-believe
·        Shows more independence
·        Is sometimes demanding and sometimes very cooperative
·        Speaks very clearly
·        Tells a simple story using full sentences
·        Uses future tense; for example, “Grandma will be here.”
·        Says name and address
·        Counts 10 or more things
·        Draws a person with at least 6 body parts
·        Print some letters or numbers
·        Copies a triangle and other geometric shapes
·        Knows about things used every day, like money and food
·        Stands on one foot for 10 seconds or longer
·        Hops; may be able to skip
·        Can do a somersault
·        Can use the toilet on her own
·        Swings and climbs
